NP/PA Orthopedic Surgery opening in VermontLocated in Rutland, VT - Manchester, NH 120m; Albany, NY 90mFull-time, permanent openingHospital EmployedOverview:- Well-established practice currently consisting of 6 Orthopedic Surgeons, 4 Non-Operative Sports Medicine Physicians, one DO, one Clinical Psychologist, 7 APPs and 3 Athletic Trainers- This position requires office and OR First Assist skill mix- Schedule M-F, 8:00am 4:30pm- Call consists of, on average, one day a week and one weekend a month- Provides healthcare services to patients by following established standards, procedures, and practices in their area of specialty under the direction of the Medical Director and/or physician.- Obtains detailed patient history and performs physical or psychological Performs or orders diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, and interprets results.- Administers therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.- Assists physicians during surgery or medical procedures.- Instructs patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care, and health maintenance.- Evaluates outcomes of direct patient care and consults with other specialists as required.- Maintains required records and writes progress notes on patient charts regarding status, treatments, and procedures.- Provides preventative health care services to long-term patients and arranges consultations and referrals.Facility: 144-bed hospital located in Rutland, Vermont.
