About the Role: As a Weighmaster, you'll play a crucial role in our scrap yard operations. You'll be the first point of contact for customers bringing in scrap metal, ensuring a smooth and efficient process while delivering top-notch service. Key Responsibilities: Weigh and ticket incoming customers on the scales, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Utilize Weighmaster software to create tickets promptly. Direct customers safely on and off the scales to maintain a smooth traffic flow. Properly grade incoming materials for quality assurance. Provide outstanding customer service daily, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience. Handle ticketing and dispatching of sold material. Monitor and inspect purchased materials for quality. Ensure compliance with material acceptability standards prior to purchasing. Report any issues or discrepancies to the Depot Manager. Perform additional duties as assigned. What We're Looking For: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of one year of customer service experience. Previous experience in the scrap metal industry is a plus.
