General Liability Claim Adjuster II Job Locations US-United States | US-TX-Dallas | US-GA-Alpharetta | US-CT-Southington Requisition ID Category Claims - General Liability Position Type Regular Full-Time Overview Amtrust Financial Services, is a fast growing commercial insurance company, seeking a highly technical, inquisitive, and driven Claims Specialist (Adjuster) with expertise in handling Commercial General Liability Bodily Injury (GLBI) claims. The successful candidate will exclusively handle GLBI claims. The successful candidate will evaluate coverage issues and risk transfer opportunities as well as ensuring appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances is prompt, while proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary. You are comfortable with litigation management which includes the selection and utilization of counsel as well as excellent negotiation skills and strategy setting. This position will ideally report on a hybrid basis to one of the following AmTrust locations: Melville, NY; Maitland, FL; Boca Raton, FL; Dallas, TX; Southington, CT Responsibilities You are passionate about coverage and your coverage analysis skills prove it. You are inquisitive and it shows in your investigation skills You believe the customer experience is a priority, every day You act with integrity, (both financial and professional) as demonstrated through prompt and accurate reserving, resolution, and relationship building with partners and stakeholders You understand how your work drives the success of the company You have mastery of the fundamentals of an adjusting role as demonstrated by Mindset of "total cost of claim" by controlling and managing claims-related expenses; determine and execute plans of action to resolution, including the avoidance/minimization of litigation. You support others through the sharing of knowledge, information, and support. You make AmTrust an employer of choice/talent destination. Determines and fulfills reporting requirements to supervisor/manager, Home Office, SIU, client companies and reinsurers. Qualifications Significant experience working with claims in litigation 3+ years' experience with commercial injury/GLBI claims of high value Thorough understanding of the lines of business (laws, principles of coverage, liability and insurance industry in general) Analytical and human relations skills, and ability to operate business technology are critical Effective communication skills; ability to obtain information from others and deliver information to others orally and in written form Adjuster licensing is required Travel required; attend mediations when necessary and trial monitoring #LI-MB1 #LI-HYBRID What We Offer AmTrust Financial Services offers a competitive compensation package and excellent career advancement opportunities.
