A leading manufacturing company is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join its dynamic Accounting and Finance team. In this role, you will collaborate with the controller to manage various accounting operations, including cost analysis, budget preparations, gross profit margin, and job costing. This position contributes significantly to the financial management and growth of the company. After completing training, the role will operate on a hybrid schedule, providing flexibility. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports to provide accurate and timely financial insights. Analyze and audit job-specific costs, preparing comprehensive reports for management analysis. Maintain the cost accounting system/modules to ensure accurate cost tracking. Prepare general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations for precise financial recording. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable entries. Reconcile general ledger balances and inventory detail ledgers to ensure data accuracy. Assist with budget preparation and monitoring. Contribute to audits, GL preparation, physical inventories, and other accounting duties. Process commission payments accurately. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or construction accounting is a plus. Strong analytical skills are essential for data analysis and financial assessment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including charts, LOOKUP, complex IF functions, and Pivot Tables. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in SAP or an ERP system is preferred for efficient financial management.
