Job Summary: The MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Operations Support Specialist will oversee the smooth operation of the MES, ensuring optimal performance through vigilant system monitoring and insightful trend analysis. Identifying potential issues, implementing preventive measures, and coordinating with Manufacturing Operations teams to optimize MES efficiency. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a knack for process optimization, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Roles & Responsibilities: Monitor the MES system in real-time to ensure that all manufacturing processes are running smoothly and efficiently Oversee and maintain critical infrastructure equipment, promptly addressing and resolving any detected issues Swiftly identify any deviations from the expected production process and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Analyze data collected by the MES system to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in manufacturing processes Effectively communicate with production staff, maintenance technicians, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate troubleshooting efforts and ensure prompt resolution of any issues Maintain detailed records of MES system performance, including any issues encountered, actions taken to resolve them, and any recommended process improvements Proactively identify opportunities to improve the performance of the MES system and manufacturing processes, and work with relevant teams to implement these improvements Perform other position related duties as assigned Qualifications: Basic: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of automation technologies, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, HMI (Human Machine Interface) software, and other relevant hardware and software used in automated manufacturing Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends and patterns, and make data-driven decisions to optimize manufacturing processes Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of MES system monitoring and data analysis Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Proven ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues, including the ability to think creatively and adaptively in high-pressure situations Must be eligible to work in the United States Valid US Driver's License with a clean driving record While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international) Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required Preferred: Previous experience working with MES systems in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in continuous improvement systems and hands-on experience in lean manufacturing methodologies. Familiarity with methods and implementations to actively support world-class manufacturing practices. Extensive knowledge of data analysis using Spotfire, BI, MS Excel, or other database applications. Experience or knowledge dealing with large production lines, PFMEA, and process control. Excellent communication skills encompassing speaking, writing, and presentation abilities. Demonstrated critical and analytical thinking skills to navigate complex problems. Working Conditions: Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time Ability to operate basic office equipment Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
