We have a current opportunity for an experienced strategic Medical Communication Practice Lead Strategic Account Planner. This is a full-time salaried position offering a base salary, bonus potential full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, company funded long-term, short-term disability and life insurance, generous PTO and company paid holidays. The ideal candidate will reside in the NJ, PA location but candidates with a strong background in other markets will be considered, with Eastern and Central time zone residents preferred. Practice Lead StrategicAccountPlanner Medical Communications Position Overview: The Practice Lead StrategicAccountPlanner is a crucial strategic leader responsible for guiding both existing and new business initiatives. This role establishes the strategic vision for brands, fostering strong relationships with senior clients to enhance collaboration and drive results. By integrating insights from market dynamics and client needs, the Practice Lead ensures the development and execution of effective strategies that promote organicandinorganicgrowth across theagency. This position plays a vital role in shaping the agency's direction and success, leveraging industry expertise to innovate and elevate client campaigns. Brand Planning: Lead the development of brand strategies by translating market dynamics, customer insights, and disease state knowledge into actionable strategies. Utilize exceptional storytelling skills to craft compelling written strategies and presentations. Leverage therapeutic area expertise to effectively tackle brand challenges. Client Management: Facilitate large, bespoke client workshops and brainstorming sessions, driving influence toward strategic recommendations. Consult clients on market research design and analysis to ensure alignment with their needs. Present insights and strategic directions confidently to senior clients, ensuring clarity and engagement. Portfolio lead for strategic discussions and routine client/agency reviews, driving strategic and tactical organic growth Driving alignment across client teams, ensuring the highest standards are met, and providing internal leadership of accounts and teams Is accountable in driving actions forward and is solution focused to achieving company goals Cross-Functional Collaboration: Oversee strategic planning for multiple brands and integrated accounts, fostering collaboration with other agency departments. Drive execution of insights and strategies to achieve client goals and elevate agency standards. Experience collaborating with different departments such as Scientific Services, Creative, Digital, etc. Talent Management & Development: Supervise and mentor a diverse team, fostering professional growth and overseeing performance management. Lead hiring and staffing decisions to build a high-performing strategicaccountplanning team. New Business Development: Display leadership in pursuing new business opportunities and enhancing the agency's portfolio. Master the agency pitch process, consistently delivering high-quality strategic outputs. Relentlessly focused on pursuing new business opportunities and eager to actively contribute to driving the agency's growth. Play a hands-on role to identify and drive new business. Leading with pitches and proposal creation Through their relationships and network, they can proactively identify opportunities for business growth Drive organic growth within existing accounts, targeting a 10% growth in 2025 or $1.5M. Agency Initiatives: Participate in agency-wide initiatives and task forces, promoting collaboration and innovation. Metrics for Success: Develop an AOR pipeline to secure at least 2 AOR accounts by [specific timeline]. Ensure $2M in renewals are booked in 2025. Strengthen strategic services and drive innovation in service offerings. Achieve $3Min new business winsorganically or inorganically and contribute to the agency revenue target of $8M. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college required. A degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field a plus with an MBA highly preferred. Minimum of 10-15 years in brand strategy, account planning within an agency setting Minimum of 7 years in the pharma/healthcare sector.
