Estimator

Job Title: EstimatorJob Description We are a leading general contractor specializing in the tech industry, working with high-end clients in the lithium market and high-tech installations. Our office supports various projects, including those in the lithium market and high-tech installations. We have a long history of working on NDA and top-secret projects, including clean rooms and other specialized environments. Responsibilities + Provide full estimating services for all types of construction projects. + Review and understand drawings, specifications, and soils reports. + Detail, review, or note prebid/jobsite walks. + Perform quantity take-offs for various divisions. + Utilize estimating and quantity take-off software. + Manage basic trade scoping, recaps, qualifications, and buyout. + Maintain relationships with subcontractors and update/control the subcontractor database. + Correctly enter cost codes for estimates. + Control and coordinate project documents for estimating and preconstruction. + Complete, coordinate, and assemble forms for bids, and coordinate delivery of bids. + Pre-qualify subcontractors and coordinate calls to them. + Perform other duties as assigned, including working additional hours as needed. Essential Skills + Relevant project experience and 1-3 years of experience in estimating. + Proficiency in estimating software. + Understanding of electrical codes. + Ability to perform submittals correctly. + Strong analytical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Real-life experience in lieu of formal education. + Experience in commercial or industrial construction. + Familiarity with MS Office and scheduling software. + Experience with electrical engineering and preconstruction.
