What We Need: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing processes and their improvement, resolution of complex manufacturing process issues, with combined emphasis on Quality Management and providing leadership and guidance to technicians and/or hourly associates that may not report directly to the incumbent. What You'll Be Doing: Provide leadership to key associates to promote participation and cooperation in process development/improvement initiatives. Ensures conformance with and application of policies and procedures. Create PPAP and FAI documents for customers. Designs, deploys and validates new manufacturing processes and techniques. Responsible for smooth product production/constant production flow. Responsible for product qualification processes. Product & Process FMEA analysis. Create, document and implement procedures for assembling, testing and packaging processes. Re-engineers operations and manufacturing processes. Designs, installs and debugs tooling and new capital equipment. Designs, evaluates and implements automated systems for inspection, manufacturing and data acquisition. Responsible for continuous improvement activities. Develops training systems and support documentation for associates. Designs in conjunction with new product development engineers manufacturing strategies. Provide leadership in assigned areas as well as lead projects in other manufacturing areas. Other duties as assigned. What You Will Need To Be Successful: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer. Strong lean manufacturing skill set and knowledge with experience implementing lean methodologies/tools (pull systems, TPM, one piece flow, Kanban, POU, standardized work, batch reduction, visual controls, Ishikawa diagrams/fishbone, 5-Why Analysis and 5S). Have an understanding of COC/COA creation. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, precision measuring devices. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of quality management systems, specifically ISO-9001, AS9100. Must be a strong team player. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to drive change. Printing and/or converting industry experience preferred. Familiarity with CAD software, AutoCAD preferred. Ability to use Smartsheets, Google sheets, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project. Knowledge of statistical tools; GR&Rs, SPC, DOE's, Ppk's, Cpk's, Hypothesis Testing. Basic understanding of GD&T.
