A growing real estate company is seeking an experienced Controller to manage its financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, managing an outsourced team, and ensuring efficient financial management across the company. This hands-on role will involve overseeing bookkeeping, handling bill payments, producing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Experience with Folio software is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Include: Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations, including managing books and maintaining accurate records. Team Oversight: Manage an outsourced accounting team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Bill Payments: Oversee bill payment processes, ensuring all payments are timely and accurate. Growth Potential: Collaborate with the owner to improve efficiency and drive growth, with potential bonuses tied to performance. Ideal Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience as an accountant or controller, preferably in real estate or related industries. Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and lead an outsourced accounting team. Technical Skills: Familiarity with accounting software such as Folio is a plus. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
