Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in the Cheektowaga area is searching for a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing ( ADON) candidate to assist our DON with daily responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management tasks and uphold high-quality care standards. Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds. Ensure compliance and promote effective communication among nursing staff. Address the nursing and medical needs of all residents. Be on call 24/7. Oversee and coordinate comprehensive planning for nursing services. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of nursing theory and practices. Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff. Manage daily staffing processes and infection control measures. Adapt work schedule to meet unpredictable needs. Qualifications: Must have a current State RN license. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings required. Preferred: 2 years of management experience. Preferred: 1 year of experience in staff education. Strong communication skills are essential. Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory skills. Flexibility in hours is necessary.
