Parasol Alliance is looking for a Director of Finance to join our talented team! Responsibilities: Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements; file reports; advise management on necessary actions. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance and regulatory filings, including tax depositions. Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance. Financial Management: Execute weekly financial tasks: accounts payable/receivable, billings & collections, and payroll backup. Manage financial systems, including bookkeeping policies and procedures. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts and the general ledger; reconcile entries. Manage the profit-loss statement and balance sheets. Handle invoicing, client collections, and cash management. Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the production and monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts. Assist with budget, forecasting, financial projections, client pricing, and mergers and acquisitions. Guide strategic financial direction and evaluate business decisions against budget and strategic goals. Reporting and Analysis: Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet; perform reconciliations and G/L analysis. Work with the accounting consultant to analyze and present monthly financial reports to the executive team and board. Develop and monitor business performance metrics. Responsible for financial metrics, trending, and reporting. Relationship Management: Manage the relationship with the company's financial advisor to ensure the portfolio and 401k program meet business objectives. Oversee and manage business insurance accounts. Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team to ensure company-wide finance operations meet all regulations. Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role. Experience with compliance and regulatory filings. Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping policies and procedures. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and present insights to the executive team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience in developing and monitoring business performance metrics. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills for advising management and working with the leadership team. Ability to manage relationships with financial advisors and consultants. Strong client management skills for invoicing and collections. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines. Strong organizational skills for maintaining subsidiary accounts and the general ledger. Experience in overseeing regulatory reporting and compliance. Leadership and Strategic Thinking: Ability to guide the strategic financial direction of the company. Experience in evaluating business decisions against budget and strategic goals. Leadership skills to work closely with the leadership team and ensure finance operations meet all regulations. Additional Requirements: Supervise the Administrative Assistant responsible for supporting client billing and invoicing tasks.
