OVERVIEW: Pratt Miller is seeking an experienced Level II truck driver to join its Motorsports business unit. The successful application would have a supporting role within Race Operations and have responsibilities both at the shop and track. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS: Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Truck Driver Provide adequate communication of needs to the managers Align processes and quality of work with overall team expectation Know the electronic logging for the Race Tractors in addition to working with the Pratt Miller operational staff to align the Race Operations practices with the company Work with appropriate groups within Pratt Miller to ensure that tractors and trailers have the proper licensing and permitting Identify opportunities for improvement and help formulate a plan to realize improvements Participate in essential HR activities Truck Preparation and Maintenance Execution of routine and emergency maintenance for the tractor and trailer fleet preparation and maintenance Truck Inventory Utilize team checklist and other processes to ensure that each truck has proper inventory for each event, noting that the inventory may differ for each event Specifically track spare parts on the truck via a BOM determined by yourself, Lead Truck Driver, Operations Manager, and Team Manager Ensure all truck drivers utilize and adhere to the same processes Trackside Execution Unloading and loading of trailers Make sure tractor/trailer presentation and cleaning is performed adequately Truck driver roles at the track include, but are not limited to: Pit lane setup Stocking pit equipment with necessary supplies Maintaining and cleaning pit equipment As needed unique tasks to support the team Team hospitality support Shop Execution Organization and cleanliness of work area Making sure all necessary changes/repairs are done to pit equipment Detailed Expectations Work with the Lead Truck Driver to create a common level of preparation on all the Corvette equipment Positive and team first attitude Look for and identify ways to improve your skillset Bring any issues to Lead Truck Driver and Operations Manager for solutions Always maintain proper care for the equipment at all times, loading, unloading and during the event Help with feedback on the long-term equipment planning ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required: Support Pratt Miller initiatives, marketing events, and general development as necessary Monthly meetings with the Operation Manager on goals and future progress ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Desired Education: 3 years or greater commercial driving experience with valid CDL for manual transmission Achieve program goals and continuously improve CDL and clean driving record Desired Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Covered as part of Duties and Responsibilities Work Environment/Physical Demands: Stress may occur periodically Long hours may be required at times Physical labor is a regular part of daily work Travel of up to 60% is required Work Environment/Physical Demands: Stress may occur periodically Long hours may be required at times Physical labor is a regular part of daily work Travel of up to 60% is required Develop and refine team-oriented mindset This position will require standard drug screening for CDL insurance verification Pay Range: $63,500.00 - $101,700.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
