Job Description Mechanical Design Engineer Fulltime/Perm - Onsite Buffalo, NY $65K-$80K Our client, an established (40 years) company, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team and play a critical role in designing and developing prototype products. This role focuses on creating reliable, cost-effective mechanical designs, developing production procedures, and ensuring the durability and longevity of systems. Requirements: 3+ years of SolidWorks, PDM, and Microsoft Office Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, co-workers, and customers. Strong time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility in decision-making. Responsibilities: Design and draft mechanical components for each project. Develop and manage project timelines to meet critical deadlines, including show dates and open houses. Collaborate with software and electrical engineers, shop personnel, production teams, and technicians to optimize designs, bringing innovative designs from concept to reality Prioritize reliability, serviceability, and cost-efficiency in designs. Ensure adherence to ETL and UL standards during the design process. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for each project. Education Bachelor's Degree (BS) or Associate Degree (ASS) in a related field
