Job Description Our client is looking for a Senior Level Systems Engineer to Their our team in Stafford, VA. This role involves working directly with the client to analyze complex technical support assignments and collaborating with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logisticians, and program analysts in a scaled agile environment. The Senior Systems Engineer will manage hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications through to final rollout and maintenance. They will oversee the integration of various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices, covering system specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance support. Additionally, they will consider overall project design, including cost, schedule, and any social issues related to the project. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of systems engineers, providing direction and support. Design and develop system architectures that align with business goals and ensure scalability. Offer guidance on technology choices and integration strategies. Manage project execution to ensure timely delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards. Oversee the entire system development lifecycle, from conceptualization to retirement. Supervise and monitor technical efforts to ensure project objectives are met, and evaluate proposed designs for technical merit. Assist program leadership in planning and executing systems engineering technical processes and management processes, including decision analysis, technical planning, technical assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management. Lead the planning and execution of systems engineering technical reviews (SETR) and track the completion of action items. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Provide senior systems engineering expertise in enterprise-level environments, with experience in Agile and knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Possess knowledge and understanding of enterprise systems and services technologies, including large-scale systems and OS, software and applications, AD, SAN/WAN technologies, Windows Server environments, server virtualization, and commercial cloud services.
