We're seeking a senior mechanical or energy engineer with experience in energy management / consulting. The candidate would join our industry-leading team to partner with federal and commercial clients in establishing and meeting their energy, water, renewables, and emissions goals with respect to facilities and associated infrastructure. The candidate may be situated near any of our Jacobs offices in the USA and will work on a hybrid schedule. If possible, near the locations posted: Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Konxville, TN; St. Louis, MO; TX; Dallas, TX; Irvine, CA; Sacramento, CA; Chicago, IL; or Arlington, VA. The position is client-facing, and the candidate would be expected to lead technical aspects of projects with small teams and establish relationships with clients. Job responsibilities would include managing technical scope and budget for project tasks, as well as facilitating deliverable development including calculations, client communications, and reports. The position requires travel to client sites worldwide, typically one week in duration (but longer as required). Ideal experience includes energy audits, energy modeling, energy and water master planning, life-cycle cost analysis/engineering economics, building/infrastructure assessment, utility meter analysis, and familiarity with building MEP and integrated control systems. Position location is flexible, but expectation is the candidate would have a hybrid work schedule and physically be in a Jacobs office at least 2 days per week. #biaffederal Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering At least 10 years of experience in mechanical or energy engineering with experience in management consulting Professional Registration (PE) Industry-recognized energy management certification (CEM or similar) Ability to travel up to 40% U.S. Citizenship The base salary range for this position is $100,300 to $156,775. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
