At HVLG, we believe that great lighting has the power not just to elevate any space but to enrich people's lives "” and it's that guiding philosophy that ties our family of brands together.We are a progressive and growing company seeking an on-site Business Development Coordinator who will play a dual role in engaging inactive customers and converting them into loyal supporters of the HVLG brands. In addition, this role involves the scouring of multiple sources for new account opportunities. The setting is fast-paced and requires strong multi-tasking skills. You must have terrific communication and computer skills, be enthusiastic, and possess a positive attitude. The ideal candidate enjoys dealing with people at all levels, is not afraid to "take the ball and run with it," and can successfully perform with limited guidance.Position requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.Previous experience in sales and business development.Pleasant and professional demeanor.Must have a passion for interior design.Must have an entrepreneurial spirit.Excellent computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.CRM experience a plus.Must be a quick learner.Ability to work in a constantly changing environment with diverse individuals.US citizen or permanent resident (no Visa sponsorship available).This is an on-site position.Engagement responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Maintain a partial day targeted focus on converting non-purchasing accounts to accounts that purchase our products regularly.Determine which accounts are viable to continue a direct relationship with.Understand and identify the characteristics of an "HVLG designer" and potential partnerclient.Focus on struggling territories and A+ locations.Utilize a series of email and phone call reachouts, ensuring we have the correct contact who makes the purchasing decisions.Ensure we have the most updated email contacts for each customer.Outreach responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Maintain a partial day targeted focus on increasing new business with prospects that seem viable to warrant a direct account with our brands.Prospect new customers using the internet, Instagram, and shelter publications.Understand and identify the characteristics of an "HVLG designer" and partnerclient and make initial contact with them.Maintain and manage a database of prospective accounts.Focus on prospecting in struggling territories and A+ locations.For both outreach and engagement objectives, you will: Ensure that newly cultivated accounts begin actively purchasing and that outreach efforts convert into new accounts weekly.Run sales numbers daily and weekly to spot trends among these accounts.Work with outside sales representatives to partner with all accounts that have been re-engaged or opened as a result of outreach efforts.Assist with re-onboarding and website training for those accounts.Determine design partners best suited for purchasing through brick-and-mortar spaces or trade showrooms and direct them to our retail partner program showrooms.Pass any feedback on the reasoning for inactivity to Business Development Management.Work with the marketing team to create strategies to win business.Targeting advertising.Sponsorship opportunities.Events.Swag to capture the interest of prospective accounts.Promotional opportunities.Ask questions to drive new business forward and meet regularly with Business Development Management.Use brand training documents to lead virtual new vendor presentations with accounts not yet opened or purchased regularly.Know all the benefits our partners have in doing business with our group of companies.Work with Regional Sales Managers to leverage travel schedules with key targets.Attend industry events and tradeshows as needed.Assist with dispersal trade show leadsorderswish lists.Engage prospective customers to visit our showrooms and make market appointments.Lead the product walkthroughs, engaging the local rep if present.Our Outstanding Compensation Package Includes: A very competitive salarySingle medical insuranceLife insuranceLong-term disabilityGenerous vacation, sick, and holiday pay program401K retirement plan with employer matchFor your resume to be considered, you must send your salary requirements with your resume.WORKING CONDITIONSPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
