As a senior manager the OM collaborates with Sales, Business Office, and Purchasing teams to create an exceptional associate and customer experience aligned with CarMax culture.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Management of team and processes associated with vehicle production and servicingUtilizes reports, analyzes information and monitors trends to identify opportunities in the businessDisplays financial responsibility through P&L managementIdentifies opportunities to reduce waste; identifies process improvements that are value added for customer and associate experienceInterviews, hires, trains, and promotes associates to support Service Operations and company growthServes as member of senior management team; collaborates to set strategy for the store and provides vision, direction, and motivation to teamChampions and implements both company and store initiatives for consistent execution and proceduresResolves customer and associate issuesFacilitates and participates in meetings and conference callsAssociate DevelopmentQualifications:Work requires ability to:Read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate recordsComplete CarMax provided training in all areas of the Inventory, Cosmetic, and Production processesMulti-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environmentSpeak, listen, and write effectively in dealing with customers and associates across departmentsMake independent judgments regarding critical business decisions • Identify business opportunities and suggest improvementsEducation andor Experience:3+ Years of experience as a Manager, retail management preferredBachelor's Degree a plusIntermediate computer skillsWorking Conditions:May require walking or standing for an extended period of timeCombination of both indoor and outdoor environment, including working at times in noisy andor inclement weather conditionsRotating schedule with shifts that will include nights, weekends, holidays and 12-hour daysOccasional travel for meetings, training, and special assignmentsFlexibility to work at multiple locations or relocateWears CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times while working in the store Disclaimer and Approvals:This document is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
