About the CompanyThe Senior Technical Analyst at DMC Insurance is a key role focused on documenting, streamlining, optimizing, and automating underwriting business processes through system improvement projects. This role requires a deep understanding of underwriting workflows and systems, and the ability to leverage technology to enhance business processes, operational efficiency, and customer experience.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in meetings with business unit leadership, systems owners, and end users to define system requirements and identify existing issues.Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.Lead or conduct design sessions to prototype new systems to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow.Develop and participate in roadmap planning based on the defined goals, objectives, and priorities of the underwriting business units.Conduct analysis to make recommendations or suggest alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in underwriting systems and processes.Establish andor adhere to project timelines for delivery of project milestones and communication plans for reporting project status.Provide systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide development teams as required.Identify the root cause of issues based on findings, complete with probable causes and viable solutions.Collaborate with IT team to ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.Coordinate andor conduct testing of application systems, including end-user acceptance and quality assurance reviews, for modified and new systems, and provide post-implementation support.Develop and provide documentation, training materials, orientation, and training to end users for all modified and new systems, as needed.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Preferred P&C Experience. Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in business analysis, with a focus on underwriting, financial, or claims systems. Certain certifications in business analysis or project management may be required.Required SkillsExperience in the design, development, programming and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products in support of underwriting and financial prehensive understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.Logical, efficient, with keen attention to detail.Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.Self-motivated and directed.Ability to adhere to established priorities and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong customer service orientation.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Preferred SkillsP&C Insurance experience.Demonstrated expertise in using AI to optimize business processes.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.Strong analytical and technical skills with a keen attention to detail.Equal Opportunity StatementInclude a statement on commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
