Field Support Engineer - Industrial Automation*Please note, this is not an IT support engineer roleAvanceon is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to join our Support Services Team. This engineer will be responsible for field deployments for emergency support as well as assisting project teams with installation and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate is someone with a wide range of experience supporting manufacturing facilities and the various systems that run production and enjoys being called in to save the day for our customers.Responsibilities:Deploy to customer facilities when requested, sometimes with fast turnaround time, to assist with emergency plant support. Primarily local to the Philadelphia area, but also sites within the United States.Assist project teams when requested with on-site installation and commissioning activities at various customers.Ability to help customers over the phone and via remote accessPerform root cause analysis to determine the source of reoccurring issuesConduct preventive maintenance activities according to the customer's schedulePerform onsite assessments and gap analysis of customer manufacturing systems, network infrastructure, and process flowRequirements:Experience troubleshooting most or all of the following:Industrial machines and electrical systemsPLC logic (Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider Electric)SCADA & HMI systems (AVEVAWonderware, Rockwell, WinCC)Ability to be on-call and deploy to site with short noticeAbility to work under pressure and maintain composure and customer service attitudeExcellent English communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood organizational skills and the ability to multitaskAbility to recognize and raise concerns with a high sense of urgencyWhy Avanceon?Yes, we offer all the usual benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401K contributions, etc., but what makes Avanceon different from the rest?Most importantly, we have cool and talented people.
