Position Overview The Controller will play a critical role by overseeing and implementing day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, job cost accounting, payroll, and cash management. Additional responsibilities include compiling data and preparing monthly and quarterly financial analysis reports. The Controller will also be responsible for financial coordination between the Finance Department and Asset Management Team. Key Responsibilities: Financial Operations Management: Oversee the financial operations and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Manage financial accounting functions for both stand-alone and consolidated entity financials. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: Responsible for managing bank relationships across the platform. Create, update and adhere to a financial management calendar. Responsible for all entity filings. Manage ISO New England Capacity Market relationships and payments. Identify and establish efficiencies and growth opportunities. Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis reports, providing detailed analysis of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts. Cash Management : Oversee all cash management functions related to operating entities and construction projects, including month-end closing and reporting, and inter-company reconciliations. Project Accounting: Implement accounting procedures, job cost budgets, and AR/AP reports for all projects. Audit Coordination: Manage and provide necessary information to external auditors during annual audits and semi-annual reviews. Tax: Implement tax projections and manage tax return process for all Family Office entities with external CPA. REC Management: Manage tracking, invoicing, reporting and accounting for all renewable energy credits generated from Platform Projects. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5 years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience, preferably in public accounting and/or the energy industry. 5 years of direct supervisory experience. Experience in cost accounting, project accounting, project analysis, and capital expenditure analysis. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with an ERP is strongly preferred. A self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of excelling in a fast-paced, high-energy, and rapidly growing organization.
