Mavuno Harvest is committed to delivering high-quality, safe products that meet the highest industry standards.Job Summary:The Production Supervisor at Mavuno Harvest is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the production floor to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality product output. This role will manage a team of production staff, maintain equipment, and implement processes to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards. The Production Supervisor will collaborate closely with the FSQA team and other departments to maintain consistent quality in line with Mavuno Harvest's mission and standards.Key Responsibilities:Daily Operations Management:Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the production floor to meet output and quality goals.Monitor production schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.Staff Supervision & Training:Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff, providing clear guidance and support to ensure productivity and safety.Train new and existing team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety protocols.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.Quality & Safety Compliance:Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are strictly adhered to, including those related to FDA, USDA Organic, and SQF.Perform quality checks throughout production and coordinate with the FSQA team to address any issues promptly.Lead investigations and corrective actions for any quality or safety issues that arise on the production floor.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles.Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Oversee equipment maintenance schedules to ensure all machinery is in good working condition.Quickly troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or technical issues to minimize production interruptions.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate production records, including daily output, quality checks, and any incidents or downtime.Prepare reports for management on production metrics, staff performance, and operational issues.Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations.Skills & Competencies:Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in production equipment including multi-head weighers is a plus.What We Offer:Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 yearBenefits: Health insurance, 401K with company match (4%)Opportunities for professional growth and developmentThe chance to be part of an entrepreneurial company dedicated to ethical sourcing and sustainable practicesHow to apply: Please send resumes and cover letter to and include the phrase "Production Supervisor" in the email title.
