Snyder Engineering, Inc., is a multifaceted Steel Fabrication Company involved in the fabrication of structural steel components, and specializing in miscellaneous steel structures of stairs and handrails.We are currently looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our sales and estimating team. Candidates should have entry level or above experience in structural and miscellaneous steel sales and estimating in order to help grow the business by increased sales volume, (new sales and repeat sales from our current customer base.) Items helpful to know:Software - Word, (Typing Proposals), Excel, (In-house spread sheets to figure pricing) and Tekla, (Entering structural components to figure pricing.)For take offs: Structural - (Beams, Columns, Angles, Lintels, Bracing, etc.), Miscellaneous Metals - (Stairs, Rails, Ladders, Trash Gates, Grating, etc.)***This position is on-site, requiring relocation if you are not currently living in the area.If you are a candidate with these skills and qualities, please respond to our job posting by emailing your current resume.Listed below are the major job functions and responsibilities along with position qualifications.Position:EstimatorReports to Sales & Estimating ManagerLocation: St. Louis, MissouriDate:09-12-2024Major Job Functions & Responsibilities:Perform takeoff of structural steel and miscellaneous steel projects.Prepare estimate budget.Review contract drawings for all requirements on a project.Create clear definition of project scope with the customer using drawings, descriptions and project terpret and incorporate accurately customer's designs and specifications into bid.Solicit pricing from approved subcontract vendors.Solicit pricing for estimate materials and labor as necessary.Prepare quotes andor proposal for approval by sales manager.Review other manufacture's specifications.Ask questions to clarify specs and scope of work.Make site trips pre-bid to confirm measurements, site municate and coordinate with reps, GC's, owners, architects, construction managers, engineers.Provide schedule of values to project manager at job setup.Create initial and final budgets for approval by sales manager.Establish a material list identifying size and quantity for each job.Authorities related to job functions and responsibilities:Contact the customer for changes prebid.Generate and submit bids after review by sales manager.Recommend projects for bidding.Position Qualification Minimums:(Education, Training, Experience)Associates degree preferred but not required.Understanding of Microsoft Office software.Good with numberscalculations.On the job training.Strong grammar and writing skills.Prior sales experience.Good phone etiquette.Benefits:Competitive Wage and Benefit PackageMedical, Dental, Vision, & Life InsurancePaid Select Holidays and Paid Vacation401 KPay negotiable and based on experienceSnyder Engineering, Inc., does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis covered by appropriate law.
