Location: New York, NY (Midtown)Compensation: $33-$36 per hour (dependent on experience) + OTWork Setting: Onsite Monday - FridayEmployment Type: Contract - benefits providedYOUR OBJECTIVESWe are seeking a People Operations Specialist to join our client, a leader in the financial services space, in their New York office. This role is integral in managing employee data across the entire employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for overseeing the administrative aspects of onboarding, updating employee profiles with input from HR Business Partners and People Strategy Consultants, and managing vendor contracts and invoices for contract employees. Additionally, you will collaborate with the People Analytics team to deliver reporting and analysis.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain and update employee HR data, including data entry and retrieval.Develop and execute audit processes to ensure data integrity.Propose and implement improvements for HR data management.Manage employee electronic and paper files, such as new hire documentation.Process payroll files, including timesheets and benefits uploads.Prepare employment verifications.Handle onboarding for contractors, including preparing consulting agreements, NDAs, and statements of work, and initiating background checks.Facilitate contractors' smooth integration on their first day of service to Citadel.Monitor contract expiration dates and collaborate with teams to extend contracts as necessary.Process invoices from staffing agencies that manage contractors.Present HR updates and process improvements to internal teams.Use Workday and Excel for data analysis and reporting.REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution required.Familiarity with data entry, auditing, and HR systems (Workday experience is ideal, but not required).Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data analysis.Strong interest in HRPeople Operations.High attention to detail, with the ability to identify data discrepancies.Ability to handle sensitive employee data with confidentiality and discretion.Strong communication skills with a problem-solving, inquisitive, and team-oriented mindset.1 year of experience, either through an internship or full-time work, demonstrating a clear interest in HR.Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and adapt to changing needs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with Tableau (DesktopServer) for reporting purposes.Records management experience (using systems like Spring CM).Experience with contract management and invoice processing.
