Lakeshore Talent is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a dynamic team located in Downers Grove, IL. In this role, you will work collaboratively with team leads, producers, and account administrators to manage a portfolio of employee benefits clients. You will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, supporting retention, fostering strong carrier partnerships, and understanding client needs. Acting as the main point of contact, you will address client inquiries and resolve issues related to employee benefits.Location: Downers Grove, ILPay: $75k - $100k annuallyKey Responsibilities:Maintain strong client and carrier relationships, support client retention, and understand client needs.Collaborate with the team to deliver a multi-year strategic plan.Oversee client projects, including vendor implementation.Provide benchmarking reports (annually, quarterly, or monthly) to clients.Resolve claims and coverage issues elevated from HR.Assist with client billing and eligibility audits; occasionally conduct audits independently.Advise clients on compliance matters and provide monthly reports as needed.Facilitate the preparation of open enrollment (OE) packets, including SBCs and disclosure notices.Create employee benefit booklets when needed.Develop open enrollment presentations, benefits webinars, and recorded presentations for employees and HR Managers if no Account Executive is present.Manage the ordering and accuracy of carrier supplies.Oversee the implementation of new carriers, plans, and vendors, including benefits administration system setup.Regularly update client-specific data in BenefitPoint.Perform contract reviews and facilitate the preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria Plans, and POP Plan documents.Facilitate 5500 preparation.Prepare and maintain master group files, client contact sheets, and carrier documentation.Assist with renewal preparation.Support the RFP process, including proposal development, census preparation, online quoting, and group marketing.Mentor Account Administrators and Assistant Plan Analysts.Coordinate client contact changes with Producers and Account anize client meetings with other team members.Ensure clients are aware of the resources and services available through the organization.Attend industry-related continuing education courses and training.Follow company's Broker Standards.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.3-5 years of experience as an Account Manager or Account Representative in the employee benefits field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).Knowledge of self-funding plans.Client-facing experience required.L&H License required.Experience with Agency Management systems preferred.Proficiency in MS Excel.If you're a client-focused professional with experience in employee benefits, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
