RESPONSIBILITIES:Advise and represent clients on compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste permits.Handle litigation involving environmental disputes, including toxic torts, property contamination, and regulatory violations.Defend clients against environmental violations, fines, and penalties imposed by governmental authorities.Counsel clients on environmental matters related to transactions, including the purchase, sale, and development of real estate and contaminated properties.QUALIFICATIONS:A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing environmental law, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, permitting, and litigation.Active license to practice law in North Carolina (or ability to become licensed in North Carolina).Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
