Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney - Chicago, ILSUMMARYGarofalo, Schreiber, Storm & Grant, Chartered (GSSG), a Chicago-based law firm, is seeking a full-time, entry-level associate attorney for its workers' compensation practice. GSSG is an AV rated, progressive law firm serving the needs of employers in the State of Illinois, and their insurance carriers in workers' compensation matters, subrogation, and employers' liability.  We are a small yet growing, well established law firm with a fantastic team. Ideal candidates will learn the field as they progress in the position.Ideal Candidates Would Possess:·       Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills;·       Close attention to detail;·       Dependable nature;·       Well-organized and proactive work ethic;·       A team-player mindset;·       Willingness to learn new concepts if unfamiliar with Workers Compensation;·       A professional, and positive attitudes. Job Responsibilities and Expectations:·       Ability to manage a high volume of time sensitive Workers' Compensation files and tasks;·       Initial file evaluations, and analysis of medical records;·       Preparation of pleadings;·       Correspondence with clients, experts, and opponents;·       Depositions;·       Trial preparation, and trial appearances.For this position, full-time associate attorneys will receive health, dental, and life insurance, 401(K), profit-sharing, vacation and sick leave, and salary commensurate with experience and potential.
