HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT Develops, implements, and maintains an inventory strategy that supports a company's supply chain. Evaluates market conditions to maintain inventory levels and control costs. Evaluates and recommends vendors. Manages ongoing relationships with suppliers while ensuring that operations align with company goals and industry standard.Ensures that projectdepartment milestonesgoals are met and adhering to approved budgets.Achievement of objectives must include an overriding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility. Enable and Drive Change in the Organization. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKESupervises the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.Oversees team and coordination with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Implement best practices to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve service levels.Use data analytics and metrics to improve supply chain performance.Responds to escalations of bottlenecks or problem areas and proposes solutions. Monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance.Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.Devise ways and means to maximize buying efficiency and minimize risks.Collaborate with procurement team to ensure deadlines are met.Develop and manage pricing strategies.Draft proposals to manage contracts and negotiations.Preserve and promote company standards by building a strong and self-sufficient inventory supply base.Collaborate with suppliers on improving quality.Alleviate risks and focus on developing supplier performance.Supervise supply quality and feedback.Develop and maintain business communication with suppliers regarding their concerns.Manage overall Safety Stock or BCP inventory levels.For Critical materials, manage a sourcing strategy for buyers to reference.Member of the team that presents scorecards to "key" suppliers.Acts as key contact for Engineering on Unsourced new technologiesparts.Manage additional equipment qualification at Supplier locations to ensure project stays on track and completion per customer requirements.Identify and implement cost-saving measures throughout the procurement process, such as consolidating purchases and negotiating better pricing terms.Implementing cost-reduction strategies with suppliers.Identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities.Collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to reduce lead times through:Streamlining procurement processes.Improving supplier responsiveness.Implementing just-in-time (JIT) inventory management.Optimizing transportation and logistics.Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance.Stay updated on changes in customs laws and regulations. Duties may change without notice at management's sole discretion WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty.4-7 years' experience in the related area as an individual contributor.Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., ERP systems) inventory management tools, and logistics platforms.Preferred Skills:3+ years supervisory experience.
