Investment Grade Desk Analyst

Boutique Credit Fund is seeking an experienced Investment Grade Credit Research Analyst to join their trading desk in New York. The Analyst will cover Investment Grade credits with a primary focus on Financials and, working closely with Portfolio Managers, play a key role in making investment recommendations.The role:-Analyze and assess Investment Grade opportunities with a specific focus on Financials (banking, brokerage, insurance, specialty finance);-Deliver insightful fundamental analysis;-Develop and communicate trade ideas;-Build and maintain relationships with the street;-Provide additional support as needed to the other Analysts as required. As such, coverage beyond Financials (particularly in Energy and Utilities) is useful.The successful candidate will have:-7+ years' buy andor sell-side experience in credit andor equities research;-Deep knowledge of Financials (banking, brokerage, insurance, specialty finance). Additional knowledge of Energy and Utilities a strong plus;-Understanding of accounting standards, capital structure, cash flow, financial regulation and financial statement analysis;-Deep knowledge of CDS strongly preferred; -Minimum Bachelors degree from a reputable school. Advanced degree a plus;-CFA charter holder strongly preferred;-Outstanding communication and presentation skills (written verbal);-Confidence and credibility being 'in the room' with Portfolio Managers and Investment Committee;-Ability to identify and recommend trading ideas supported by insightful analysis;-No ego and ability to collaborate effectively with others in a team petitive compensation includes base salary (to $250,000 per annum) + performance-linked bonus + benefits.For a more detailed discussion in confidence, please apply with your resume.
