EHS Specialist [ND-13966]

A growing manufacturing company is looking to hire an EHS Specialist for their facility outside of the Morton Grove area. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for leading and ensuring EHS compliance at the site. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills and, the ability to engage with all levels of the business.The Role:Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS program and strategyMaintain compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 certificationsProvide leadership and technical support for safety projects, problem solving, investigations including site inspections and audits, and safety activitiesAssist in developing an effective EHS communication process to make EHS priorities and performance visibleThe Candidate:Bachelor's Degree in Health, Safety or similar, related discipline is preferred3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentDirect experience with ISO management systems requiredAbility to influence and engage at all levelsStrong communication and leadership skills
