Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard?We have an immediate need for a Drivability Calibration Engineer that can either work in Chelsea MiAs a Drivability Calibration Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for conducting vehicle-based calibration and evaluation of hybrid powertrains and EVs for light-duty to heavy-duty applications. The engineer will be responsible for planning experiments, setup and data acquisition, analyzing and interpreting results to guide future tests, and preparing presentationsreports for customers, peers and supervisors. Hands-on aptitudeinterest with strong attention to detail and desireability to understand test results, calibration changes, and documentation is the key. You will be expected to conduct projects with a high level of professionalism while meeting andor exceeding our clients' technical and timing expectations within the predefined project budget limits. You are expected to have a vision to convert the vehicle drivability metrics signatures received from corporate communications into reality by using subjective and objective evaluations. May involve work onsite at customer facilities, vehicle test trips to support ongoing development programs. The positions may be located in Ann Arbor or Auburn Hills area.Qualifications:Vehicle Drivability Calibration experienceAn in-depth understanding of hybrid powertrain components and its functionalityExperienced in powertrainvehicle testing, calibration, data acquisition, analysis and reportingExperienced in engine and powertrain diagnosticsUnderstanding of regulations, safety , and compliance requirements for heavy duty commercial vehiclesDemonstrated ability to execute testingcalibration projects and provide feedback, key finding reports to peers and supervisorsParticipated in calibration activities plan for timely delivery of vehicle calibrationDemonstrated teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional customer communication and presentation skillsTravel in support of vehicle calibration development tripsPreferred Requirements:Bachelor'sMaster's degree in MechanicalAutomotiveElectrical Engineering1 to 10 years plus experience in powertrain calibration (engine, transmission, hybrid, e-drive, etc.)Programming skills (ExcelVisual Basic, MATLAB, etc.)Experience with reading powertrain controls strategies (Simulink, etc.)In-depth knowledge of data acquisition equipment (hardware and software) such as ETAS INCA, CANalyzer, etc. Experience with calibration tools such as ATI Vision, ETAS, MATLABSimulinkExperience with Drivability evaluation tools (MATLAB based tools, AVL Drive etc.)Experience in drivability calibration such as Pedal map calibration, Different Filtering methods of torque distribution, Surge Dampening methods, Accelerometer based evaluation and calibration of vehicle response, Subjective evaluation of and calibration of the mentioned above, conventional and adaptive cruise control calibration etc.,Experience in performing limit handling of vehicles, different terrain driving, performance driving in test tracks, Driving as convoy etc.,Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project, VISIO, etc.)Shown experience delivering solutions to complex problems with minimal oversightEffectively analyze and communicate technical information in both oral and written presentationsTeam player who excels in collaborative, cross-functional environmentsAbility to work in extreme climate environments to support vehicle test tripsWhat you'll get:Healthcare (MedicalDentalVision)401(k) Program w company matchLife Insurance and DisabilityPaid HolidaysVacation Time
