Trial Attorney

They live their values every day, demonstrating they CARE through their values, ESG initiatives and IDE journey.POSITION OVERVIEW:Our firm is looking for a New York admitted Trial Attorney to assist with our heavy THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:•Collaborate with other attorneys in our office, managing multiple cases at a time. Conducts pre-trials, mediations, arbitrations or any other legal activity required•Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments, draft legal documents, and make court appearances on behalf of our clients. In preparation for trial, you will also oversee discovery, perform research, and negotiate favorable settlements when possible.•Advises claim professionals on the evaluations of legal files•Must have a license to practice law in New York and litigation experience with a proven record of success. Duties and Responsibilities:•Develop trial and pre-trial strategy•Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments•Attend hearings, depositions, and other court appearances•Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs•Oversee discovery•Perform research•Negotiate settlementsRequirements and Qualifications•J.D. Degree•License to practice law in New York in good standing•Civil litigation or trial experience (5+ years)•Verbal Communication and negotiation skills•Analytical skills
