TITLE: MANAGER QUALITY CONTROLFLSA STATUS: EXEMPTREPORTS TO: SR. DIRECTOR, WAFER MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Wafer Manufacturing, the Manager of Quality Control is responsible for coordinating and managing the work of various cross-functional teams in order to facilitate the transition of prototype products into the production environment, including managing and tracking overall wafer quality and yield improvement activities; analyzing backend performance feedback and quality control plans; and providing technical guidance on device integration and quality control processes. This position is located in Milpitas, California. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manages, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department; makes employment-related decisions as necessaryManages and tracks processes and programs which support wafer quality, yield improvement, and device integration and optimizationManages and coordinates various process marginality experiments; analyzes results, and presents recommendations for process improvementsReviews and approves modifications to process flow or quality control for products currently in productionReviews and analyzes backend performance feedback and quality control plans; assists with conducting failure analysis as neededCollaborates with various cross functional teams such as QA, Product, and Process Development Engineering to review and discuss new or existing customer requirements and manufacturing or in-line process issuesAdheres to all safety policies and procedures as required Performs other duties of a similar nature or level* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science andor equivalent relevant experienceFive years of hands' on experience working in integrationQC in a semiconductor environmentThree years of experience in a management roleExperience using MESA, JMP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office ApplicationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge and ability to lead, sustain, and support QC and integration-related manufacturing processes and programsKnowledge of wafer manufacturing principles, processes, and equipmentKnowledge of management principles, practices, and techniquesKnowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentationsKnowledge and ability to use MESA, FabTime, SPC, or similar wafer tracking application to analyze dataKnowledge and ability create reports, analyze data, and present findings Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of vendors, consultants, employees, and managementAble to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate employeesDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated project or process management skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skillsDemonstrated critical thinking and analytical skillsFlexible and able to prioritizeThe annual base salary for this full-time position is between $128,698.00-$189,262.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual base pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.WORKING CONDITIONS:The Manager of Quality Control and Integration works primarily in an office environment from Monday thru Friday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, andor gases during the course of work day; may be exposed to loud noise. Stands and walks, bends, and twists. Performs various fine grasping movements; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment; may occasionally be required to push, pull, or lift up to 30 pounds.*Other duties of a similar nature or level are duties that may be required, but may not be specifically listed in the job description or posting.
