Job SummaryPosition is primarily responsible for portfolio management of an assigned CRE portfolioMain Duties and Responsibilities• Manage and oversee loan portfolio for the assigned relationship managerteam.• Maintain oversight of all ongoing monitoring requirements and client deliverables as well as compliance with all terms of the loan agreement.• Liaise between Relationship Managers and the Credit Division to facilitate credit needs of customers, whether through modifications, extensions, or renewals• Provide sound analysis and recommendations on credit requests. Liaise with various parties to ensure approved credit requestsmodifications are carried out in a timely manner• Prepare Credit Committee presentations and applications for assigned portfolio.• Update, track and follow up with customers on financial covenants, real estate taxes and insurance due on a periodic basis.• Execute and manage all portfolio monitoring tasks: dashboard report monitoring (maturities, past due), etc.• Identify and communicate portfolio issuesareas of concern and implement control mechanisms to ensure portfolio health.• Investigate and follow-up with customers and internal departments on reporting exceptions and agedoutstanding issues. Assist RMs with all customer related requirements.• Prepare annual reviews.• Early identification of risk and potential risk rating changes.• Perform other duties, as assigned, which fall within scope of responsibility.Qualifications NeededKnowledge:• Strong quantitativeanalytical skills including CRE underwriting, portfolio management, writing and attention to detail;• Strong working knowledge of all functional areas that comprise CRE finance• Strong work ethic, initiative, ownershipaccountability and follow-through on responsibilities and assignments.• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels throughout the Bank, as well as borrowers, participating lenders and third party vendors.• Strong project management and organizational skills.• In-depth knowledge of all CRE property types (Multifamily, Office, Retail, Industrial). Experience with Hospitality and Condominiums is a plus.• Experience with ground-up construction.• Maintain current knowledge of BOM, policy guidelines and bank compliance requirements (BSAAMLOFAC and other regulations) and participate in training and policy initiatives as required.Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office products, Internet, and ability to research property status (taxes, violations, title, etc.).Competencies:• Must be highly analytical, prudent, and ability to work with all clients.• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Strong ability to exercise independent action and independent decision making authority with properly documented risk mitigation applied.• Strong ability to meet time sensitive deadlines in a fast paced environment.• Ability to work independentlyExperience RequiredPreferred: • 5+ years of relevant Commercial Real Estate Finance Underwriting or portfolio management in a bank lending environment.• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with prior commercial real estate lending experience, wide-ranging and in-depth knowledge of industry practices.• Construction lending experience is a plus.
