POSITION: Director, Analytics and Reporting Reporting to: SVP, Strategy and Business Intelligence About the United Football League: The United Football League (UFL) is the premier spring football platform, formed by the merging of the XFL and USFL in 2024 under the combined ownership of RedBird Capital Partners, FOX, Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson. The UFL has eight teams located in Arlington (TX), Birmingham (AL), Detroit (MI), Houston (TX), San Antonio (TX), Memphis (TN), St. Louis (MO), and Washington D.C. About the Position (briefly describe the role, who it reports to, etc.) The Director of Analytics and Reporting is an integral hire in the Business Intelligence group as the UFL looks to expand its data analysis and storytelling capabilities. This role will support the SVP of Strategy and Business Intelligence in setting the direction of our data program and related reporting, including the informing of various business strategies. What you will do (responsibilities) Data Visualization - Utilize Tableau to create reports and visualizations from the ground up. Reporting will be focused on revenue areas (Ticketing, CPG, Sponsorship) but will overlap with Marketing initiatives as well (email engagement, click throughs, ROI etc.). Revenue reporting for our ownership and leadership groups will fall squarely under this remit. This role will be responsible for both qualitative (fan journeys and engagement) and quantitative (revenue and projections) reporting. CRM Management - Maintain clean data, in conjunction with our outsourced agency which you will oversee. Work with Ticketing Operations, CPG, and Sponsorship groups to ensure that the data collected is represented accurately in the CRM system(s) so that it's correctly conveyed through the reporting tool(s) Collaborate with email marketing and marketing leads to improve our fan profile and ROI assessment on different marketing initiatives. Be a Storyteller - Be able to convey a comprehensive fan journey or revenue story utilizing data that's easily understood by groups that might not live in that data on a daily basis. What you will bring (knowledge, skills, and abilities/experience) Minimum of 8 years of experience in business strategy, analytics, strategy consulting or a related field, with at least 5 years in the sports industry Significant experience building Tableau reports and setting up the data tables with Ticketing data (Ticketmaster, Archtics, and Kore), CPG data (Shopify), Ticket buyer data (Live Analytics/Ticketmaster), CRM data (Salesforce SalesCloud), and Marketing data (Salesforce MarketingCloud). Example reports you will be responsible for could include: Daily ticket sales reports, YoY reports, comprehensive fan journeys (from email target to season ticket member), conversion reports, overall revenue reports etc. A passion for storytelling with data, this role is not just a report builder but an integral part of telling the UFL fan story to leadership, ownership, and sponsors. A self-starter capable of managing themselves in a remote environment A collaborative attitude, the role requires that you connect with multiple groups across different areas of the League and an ability to communicate and collaborate well with different stakeholders is integral to your success. Experience working with ownership and leadership to understand their diverse reporting needs and deliver reports in a timely manner. Creative thinking is critical to this role, the BI group and the UFL's data strategy is being developed and your input on how to represent the data that we currently have access to, as well as the data we'd like to work with, is paramount. Experience with SQL and maintaining data warehouses. An ability to build and develop a team around you as the function expands over the next several seasons. Additional Details Please note, the location of this role is flexible with a preference in the Midwest or Northeast. Primarily works in a remote office and/or an office environment but may include attending select games and events in UFL team markets. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Minimal Travel ( Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Salary: Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience location is $100,000 - $115,000. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401 (k) plan, paid time off and other benefits.
