Lifeguard, Middle Tyger YMCA

LIfeguard must hold current Red Cross and/or YMCA Lifeguard certification or comparable national cert. Lifeguard must be certified in CPR for the Pro Rescuer and First Aid Must be at least 16 years of age and in high school or graduated Must be able to complete any and all required training and employee application process as well as any other required certifications as the job progresses Must be able to make sound decisions in a stressful aquatics environment Lifting up to 100 pounds may be required Working around chemicals may be required Be alert with no lapses in consciousness As part of the YMCA's effort to help youth succeed, the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg offers a college scholarship program for part-time employees in good standing who are planning to enroll in a minimum of 12 hours of college courses in the upcoming semester.
