Job Title: Programmer Duration: Direct Hire Location: Remote (Must live in Texas) Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for designing, programming, integrating, and maintaining business applications in existing production and development environments utilizing Symitar PowerFrames, PowerOn, SymXchange, and other appropriate programming languages Responsible for Symitar and ancillary product security, functionality, and user support Manage integrations between Symitar and other Jack Henry and third-party applications. Manage, develop, and run specialized software applications, reports, and analyses for others Collaborate and provide assistance to data analysis and reporting teams Perform and monitor daily system data processing jobs Work with departments and teams to implement and enhance application functionality Participate with application problem solving, troubleshooting, and resolution Participate with IT responsibilities, change management tasks, and application management Participate with Service desk calls related to Jack Henry Core products Provide suggestions on how to increase efficiency Performs other duties as required. Foster and maintain positive relationships with both co-workers and members by actively embracing and demonstrating MCCU's culture, known as IMPACT. Essential Job Requirements: Symitar Experience or experience in a similar Core system BA or BS in Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience Basic knowledge of Web programming such as (ASP, JavaScript, CSS, VB, REST etc.) A very good understanding of database such as Microsoft SQL and Oracle Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with members and staffs Skills/Abilities: Strong computer skills Professional office appearance Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc. Proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to master new, complex material very quickly using the latest tools and techniques Ability to work in large scale and fast paced production environment Innovative team player with strong analytical, problem-solving capabilities Ability to quickly learn new programming languages Ability to work effectively on multiple concurrent tasks and projects Ability to work independently as well as function as a team Self-motivated with a focus on service and support Solid organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
