Chief Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to take on the role of Chief Estimator in a hybrid working environment. This pivotal position requires a professional capable of leading and managing an estimating team within the environmental and construction sectors, with a particular focus on projects related to fuel facilities. Location: Melville, NY - Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from the office. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the estimating team, ensuring its performance aligns with company goals and standards. Motivate, train, and manage the team to produce accurate and timely estimates for construction and service business units. Directly prepare estimates for select construction and service projects. Qualifications: Minimum of three years of experience in estimating within the construction, environmental, or related industries. Experience in the pump & tank industry is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently and effectively. Proficiency in generating estimates for projects valued between $25,000 and $5,000,000. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with cost estimating software is preferred. Competence in reading and interpreting plans and project documents.
