Description Senior Business Analyst I Location: Remote, USA Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $100,000.00- $120,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience. As a OneStream Senior Business Analyst I, you will utilize your OneStream product knowledge and Corporate Performance Management (CPM) domain experience to prepare and organize high quality User Stories that provide a consistent stream of work for our Sprinting teams. The Senior Business Analyst is a seasoned and proven member of the Product Management team. This role builds a bridge between business and technical teams by translating business requirements into technical artifacts. They must be able to assess the business and note the basic requirements of that area at that given time. Using their skilled knowledge in technology, they work with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document (through requirements/user stories), communicate, validate and implement systems software changes and updates. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Gather information from stakeholders using one or more of the following methods: interviews, workshops, think tanks, surveys, business process observation, use cases, task and workflow analysis. Document, analyze and prioritize business and high-quality user requirements. Translate business requirements into clear, accurate and concise functional requirements that are clearly understood by the scrum team. Independently perform user acceptance testing and control policies. Develop test plans and test cases; participate in test results verification. Provide input regarding optimal solutions to meet business needs, manage project deliverables, and meet delivery commitments. Effectively participate scrum team meetings to refine user stories based on an understanding of product requirements. Serve as product owner in agile activities including sprint planning and backlog grooming. Provide leadership and mentoring to Business Analysts. Participate in formal and informal reviews with stakeholders, applying knowledge and experience. Facilitate meetings/requirements gathering sessions with the business using various requirements elicitation techniques: interviewing, modeling, use case development, etc. Facilitate the negotiation of requirements amongst stakeholders. Support and follow established processes. Ensure both quality and functional goals are met with each sprint by accepting user stories once all acceptance criteria are met. Achieve all expected deliverables on time and with quality. Take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks. Required Education and experience BA/BS Degree in Information Technology, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience, preferably with exposure to software development. 10 years of experience in software development life cycle activities (SDLC) such as analysis, requirements gathering, system design, testing and implementation. Business and general system knowledge and incorporates knowledge from other related disciplines to solve complex business/IT problems. Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures. Experience with SQL. Proficient utilizing Jira, Confluence & Office 365. Experience with Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart or any other flow chart software. Adept at project, change, and budget management. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving capabilities. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Preferred Education and Experience Relevant certifications in Agile, Scrum, product management, or project management. Project management experience preferred. Knowledge of Agile methodology and associated tools such as Jira, VSTS and/or other Agile applications, highly desired. Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM) environment preferred. Finance/Accounting experience. Experience with CPM domain: Financial modeling, data integration, consolidation, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning. Experience with CPM applications is a bonus, such as: OneStream Oracle Hyperion SAP Other CPM solutions Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently as well as within a team & across teams. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets, etc. Self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail and organization. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Takes on new tasks and assignments. Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and business process optimization skills. Strong independent planning, organizational and time management skills. Competency in Microsoft applications including O365, Teams, Confluence, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Leadership skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
