Regulatory Sciences R&D Intern - 6 Month

Corteva Agriscience is seeking students for full-time internships within our research and development organization in either Indianapolis, Indiana or Newark, Delaware. We offer students the opportunity to work closely with a senior scientist in an industrial setting, and the students will have extensive opportunities to network across the company. It is desirable that students have past practical experience in a research environment generating data and have relevant computer skills. Students are encouraged to be creative and take initiative, where appropriate, while working with their supervisor. Students are expected to always operate in a safe and efficient manner. Essential to this internship are interpersonal, organizational, communication, teamwork, and time management skills.  Responsibilities - What You'll Do:  Participate in all phases of research including planning, preparation, calibration, application, evaluation, and analysis with supervisor. Work in a safe manner and embody Corteva's safety culture. Demonstrate independent and creative thinking by making novel observations, interpreting data, and drawing sound scientific conclusions. Present project reviews throughout the summer and a final poster before colleagues and peers.  Areas of Opportunity: Analytical Chemistry : Participate in a project with our analytical chemistry team developing new technologies.  Environmental Fate/Environmental Exposure & Assessment:  Participate in research projects focused on developing new technologies with our Environmental Fate or Environmental Exposure & Assessment groups.  Organic Chemistry: Participate in a research project focused on developing a new technology in identifying bound chemical species in environmental matrices with our Environmental Fate or Environmental Exposure & Assessment groups.
