Senior Transportation Engineer - Drainage/SWM/Roadway

For both our McLean, VA and Bethesda, MD locations, we are looking for a Drainage/SWM/H&H Engineer with 5 to 15 years of experience in MD, VA and/or DC highway, bridge, transit and rail facility, and tunnel projects. Responsibilities include: * H/H analysis * Culvert and drainage system design * Stormwater management/LID analysis and design * Environmental permitting * E/S control design * Flood mitigation design * Scour analysis and countermeasure design Applicant should be familiar with CADD (MicroStation), AutoCAD and GEOPAK as well as a H/H software applications such as TR-20 and HECRAS. Applicant should work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills, in person and on platforms such as MS Teams for ALA's hybrid work environment. Applicant should have a BSCE or related degree. A PE license is preferred, although we will consider an EIT. Experience with design standards and permitting processes of MDOT, VDOT, DDOT or other transportation agencies is a plus.
