This position is responsible for supervising personnel in the shipping department. The Shipping Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the team members activities and will engage in verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. This position is a full time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package. salary: $67,000 - $74,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: Associate Responsibilities Supervise and lead the shipping team. Train and assess new hires while maintaining accurate records. Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Monitor backorders and ensure timely deliveries. Generate Bills of Lading (BOL) and schedule daily pickups as required. Assist in preparing and reconciling quarterly physical inventory. Collaborate with warehouse team members on root cause analysis and solutions. Develop and update departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Inform the Manager, Warehouse, and relevant staff of short shipments. Support team members by providing labels, shipping documents, and supplies as needed. Conduct procedure audits, 5S checks, and monthly training sessions. Recommend improvements for warehouse layout and storage areas. Track departmental KPIs and expedite shipments as necessary. Conduct JSOX and internal NIMS audits. Oversee issues related to shipping carrier damages, errors, and discrepancies. Participate in Safety Committee meetings and initiatives.
