Market Risk Production Associate/ VP, Corporate & Investment Banking Country: United States of America Seeking a highly detail-oriented Market Risk Associate/ VP to join our team at Santander US Capital Markets The ideal candidate shall be proficient in Python or Java, and possess around 5-10 years of experience in Market Risk, Trading, or Financial Market Technology This role involves close collaboration with the other risk teams, IT, and primarily focuses on Market Risk production Responsibilities Daily operation on Market Risk data production Provide day-to-day production support for the risk management system (PolyPaths preferred, but similar systems are welcome), ensuring the smooth operation and timely resolution of any issues Collaborate with IT and other support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Troubleshooting Monitor risk systems and processes to identify potential issues before they impact business, management, and other internal clients. Project and change management New product risk data development and testing Risk system update testing/ backtesting Collaborate with project team, product management, and collaborators on assigned aspects of the project Automation and Process Improvement: Utilize Python scripting (or similar languages) to automate routine tasks and improve the efficiency of the risk monitoring process Skills Strong troubleshooting skills Strong project management and organizational skills Strong communication skill Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar quantitative discipline 5-10 years of experience in IT, Technology, or Application development and support. Work experience from banks or similar financial institutions are welcome but not required Experience in software development, production cycle, software development methodology such as Agile or SDLC Expert on Python/Java/ SQL (Python preferable) Preferred but not mandatory with experience on PolyPaths, Intex, Yieldbook, and Bloomberg API Knowledge or experience on GIT Knowledge of market data sources and trading systems.
