Field Engineer

Field Engineer Job Description We are seeking a diligent and motivated Field Engineer with a Civil Engineering or Geology degree. The role requires the ability to travel to PA, NJ, and conduct material testing. Responsibilities include testing samples from job sites such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and rebar, transporting samples with their identifying documentation to the lab, and submitting data and observations in written and digital reports to the project manager daily. You will also perform inspections on reinforced concrete, structural masonry, spray-applied fireproofing, and roofing. This position involves field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Effective communication with project managers, engineering technicians, and client representatives is essential. The role also includes maintaining and cleaning equipment, vehicles, and work areas, assisting with scheduling and dispatch of technicians, adhering to strict safety standards, and progressively taking on more responsibility. Pre-task planning and reporting safety issues to management are also critical aspects of this role. A lot of work will be performed individually- check in with PM before each shift is over to give a status update. Dress code: workbooks, jeans, t-shirt.
