Our **East Geography** is looking for a **Civil Engineer** to join our multi-disciplinary team in our **New York City** office. The person in this role will take a part in site development and transportation projects involving a wide range of site/civil design for roadways, railways, airports, data centers, industrial facilities and parks/open space. **The opportunity** Use Civil 3D or MicroStation software to layout roads, paths, drainage and utility systems, and other site elements, as well as site grading and earthwork designs. Perform data collection, research, and apply codes, specifications and standards for design of the above elements???? Coordinate with other disciplines to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes???? Apply understanding of all phases of the planning, design and construction process????? Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery???? Engage with project stakeholders and clients to develop designs that?meets?needs and concerns???? Support development of drawings, reports, calculation packages, and specifications????? Perform pre-construction and construction-phase site visits **The skills:** **Required:????** Bachelors degree or higher in civil engineering, or relevant engineering degree?? Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering / site development EIT/FE Certification Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals???? Experience with CAD software???? Professional demeanor???? Good communication skills?essential?for team-based working???? Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment???? Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment????? Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment???? Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges **Preferred:** Preference for transportation and infrastructure project work Proficient with civil engineering design and analysis tools for roads, stormwater, and/or utility systems???? Knowledge of Civil 3D CAD software and MicroStation????? Options for alternative schedules and the ability to work outside of the office for a portion of your workweek are available **Hiring Range -** The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York City is $85,000 to $100,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
