Our client, a leading warehouse and distribution company, is seeking an Cycle Counter to join their team in Hanahan, SC. As an Order Picker, you will be part of the warehouse department supporting the production line. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of inventory management, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Order Picker - 1st Shift Location: Hanahan, SC Pay Range: $18.00 What's the Job? Responsible for assembling, verifying and preparing customer orders for shipment. Responsible for quality control and packaging of finished product. Assist with inventory and supplies Communicate regularly with appropriate management Perform tasks required to select/pick orders for the production area Locate and pick product using work orders. Retrieve orders by quantity, part number, size, etc., verify order for accuracy Build pallet with order, transport to the production staging area Transport materials, parts, supplies and equipment as well as packing and shipping product throughout the department via order picker, forklift or pallet jack Unloads/puts away inbound shipments received from suppliers into warehouse locations and records movement appropriately to maintain an accurate inventory Ensure supplies, boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc., are in stock, inform manager to reorder levels Provide training/cross-training in equipment and process operations as needed May act as the "go-to" person when assistance with procedures, equipment, or information is needed Review processes for improvement, assist with implementation and maintain as directed by the department manager Consolidate inventory Maintain cleanliness of inventory in locations, i.e., discard broken, unstable pallets, monitor area for waste/trash Oversee compliance of practices and maintain an orderly and safe warehouse and shipping area Develop and maintain a good working relationship and open lines of communication with all departments to ensure Department, Company, and Customer goals are achieved All other duties and responsibilities as assigned What's Needed? 2-5 years of warehouse experience Good understanding of inventory management Strong problem-solving skills Ability to communicate clearly and concisely Willingness to learn & adapt Strong math, reading and writing skills Computer proficient and able to use company ERP systems Forklift certification, cherry picker experience Physical ability to stand for long periods of time Physical ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with two-person lift If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
