The Vascular Access Team (VAT) is composed of experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) from various clinical backgrounds who work together to provide exceptional care to adult and pediatric patients. As a consulting service for The Johns Hopkins Hospital, we provide assessments, management and education of all things vascular access. Our four distinct services are: adult VAT, pediatric VAT, adult PICCs and pediatric PICCs. We train our nurses to place IVs, midlines, and PICC lines; manage routine and complex central line dressings; and provide emergent access as part of the code response team. We work closely together, relying on our unique skills to provide excellent service in a team-oriented environment. IV experience is required for permanent night shift positions. BSN/MSN matriculation required within 1 year of hire and completion of degree within 5 years of hire. Salary Range: Minimum 36.31 per hour - Maximum 56.28 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
