Our Core Values Find Joy Keep it Real Work Together Believe in People Be a Leader GreenSpark Solar is looking for an experienced Operations and Maintenance Technician (O&M Technician) to join our team! In this advanced field role, you'll be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting our residential and commercial renewable energy systems. This is a hands-on position that involves working in various environmental conditions-it's not a desk job. You'll be expected to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and collaboratively, while also managing customer interactions with professionalism and efficiency. You will work closely with our field crew to ensure optimal system performance, adhering to the highest safety and operational standards. Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities: On-Site Maintenance & Repair: Perform maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar photovoltaic systems and ancillary equipment (e.g., batteries, monitoring systems, EV chargers). Record Keeping: Update internal service records and gather information for warranty claims. Customer Communication: Clearly communicate issues and resolutions to customers, office staff, and the operations team. Safety & Equipment Management: Adhere to safety policies, maintain tools, meters, truck stock, and spare parts inventory. Training & Reporting: Attend training sessions and create reports on system operability and major issues. Education & Qualifications: Certifications: NABCEP Certified Installation Professional. Experience: 2+ years in photovoltaic (PV) maintenance, including PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications. Technical Skills: Proficient with SCADA, DAS, UPS systems, and testing equipment (e.g., thermographic inspection, IV curve tracing, meggers). Knowledge: Familiarity with National Electrical Code, industry design/construction practices, and ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics. Software: Proficient with MS Office Suite. Other: Valid Driver's License, OSHA 10 HR Training, NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety, and exceptional customer service skills. Work Environment & Travel Requirements: Field Work: Perform duties in various environmental conditions and heights. Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, or walk for 8-10 hours a day; lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally. Travel: Ability to travel, including overnight trips, and work on-call during off-hours and weekends. This role may include a company vehicle. Perks & Benefits: Competitive Salary: Annual salary range of $43,000-$53,000. Pay Schedule: Weekly pay.
