OLR America Inc. in Solon, Ohio provides information technology services and is one of the world's leading specialists in end-to-end retail systems integration. We are seeking a Technical Infrastructure Consultant to utilize knowledge of hardware systems, and database administration to ensure appropriate installation, configuration, and operations of Oracle Retail application software and underlying infrastructure components. Job responsibilities and duties include: • Maintain and update Oracle RDBMS instances for both OLR and its client base. • Apply Oracle Retail patches and releases as required. • Maintain and update Oracle Internet Developer Suite applications for both OLR and its client base. • Maintain and update UNIX operating systems for both OLR and its client base. • Setup and maintain web server and application server hardware and software environments. • Assist in defining and ensuring adherence to both Oracle Retail and OLR database standards. • Assist in setup and testing of backup and recovery or disaster recovery configurations for both OLR and its client base. • Assist in creation and update of Oracle database objects for both OLR and its client base. • Perform database and hardware sizing and capacity planning for OLR clients. • Assist project teams in defining software functionality and performing appropriate modifications and enhancements. • Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application and infrastructure issues. • Assist in maintaining the OLR software development environment. • Perform knowledge transfer to client personnel especially related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements. • Support and troubleshoot OLR and client environments. • Provide on-call support as needed during non-business hours for both OLR and its client base. • Gather technical team status as needed and report to OLR management or client teams. • Assist in performing go-live assessments to determine readiness of Oracle Retail systems as well as client and support teams. • Provide knowledge transfer to necessary 3rd party vendors (hardware, software, etc.) related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements. This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees. Requirements Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or any related field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in any related position(s). Will accept a foreign equivalent degree. Qualified candidates must also have demonstrable knowledge, experience, skill or proficiency with the following: 1. Apache Tomcat Server. 2. Oracle Weblogic Server 12c, Oracle SQL Developer, and Oracle Database 12c. 3. Oracle Virtual Machines, Oracle Linux, and Red hat Linux. 4. Ant and Shell scripting. 5. Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server (RPAS). 6. Oracle Retail Merchandising apps including RMS, RPM, ReIM, ReSA, RWMS. 7. Oracle XStore Suite, Oracle Retail Customer Engagement (ORCE), Oracle Retail Order Broker (OROB), Order Management System (OMS), Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), and Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management (ORSIM).
