Summary Serves as a recognized technical authority and expert for an assigned systems development area in the Office of Digital Transformation (ODT), Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Systems.Work that involves the design, documentation, modification, testing, installation, and maintenance of new or existing applications software, and supports ODT's mission in the development and implementation of standards via the software development lifecycle. Military spouses Clarification from the agency U.S. Citizens Duties Provides expertise in the development of planning disciplines, priorities, and analytical approaches for the design, development, testing and implementation of programmatic and administrative systems. Provides expertise in the planning, installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, integrating, and maintenance of COTS hardware and software systems. Provides software applications expertise at technical discussions and negotiations with other Agency components whose work interfaces with or impacts on systems operations or processes in the incumbent's area of responsibility. Provides authoritative advice to executive level managers within the Agency about the area of expertise.Conducts continuing review of computer technology... As an Agency expert in an assigned area, develops workplans, detailed systems analysis and design of new or existing major systems or subsystems and oversees software development, testing and implementation activities for [CONT'D] programmatic and administrative systems.Evaluates new application software technologies.Plans, sets priorities and develops systems analysis techniques and analytical approaches in accordance with Target Architectures. Technically assists co-workers with user-liaison development activities in providing advisory services, conducting post-implementation reviews, assessing effectiveness of [CONT'D] systems and instructions, obtaining policy and procedural input, identifying and analyzing problem areas and responding to user recommendations.
