Distribution Specialist

Position: Distribution Specialist Location: Billerica, MA (On-site, 5 days a week) Type: Contract Pay: $30-40/hr Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Distribution Specialist to oversee the distribution processes within our office setting in Billerica, MA. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient order processing, accurate inventory management, and timely product deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industries and be familiar with third-party logistics (3PL), particularly in coordination with FedEx. Key Responsibilities: Execute day-to-day operations for 3PL warehouse operations. Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders. Monitor order status and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders. Run daily shipping reports and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Confirm the invoicing process for outbound shipments through 3PL. Collaborate with the Quality team and 3PL on complaint reviews and investigations, submitting necessary documentation. Track and monitor action items, partnering with stakeholders to ensure due dates are met. Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational needs with the 3PL warehouse. Act as the primary contact for the Customer Service team to handle inquiries. Monitor 3PL transactions within the system (EDI & Portal). Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for distribution activities. Be the point person for information flow and execution readiness for new product setup at the 3PL, including Change Controls and Item Setups. Qualifications: Experience in a distribution role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) operations, particularly with FedEx. Proficiency in SAP and Excel. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
